"Cowboy" - written by Emma, Melissa Fuller, and Kate Malone (who also produced the track) --is part love song, part slow jam. It also showcases her wide range of musical tastes. "Growing up in Baltimore, I was just as influenced by R&B and hip hop as I was by country music."

UMG NASHVILLE: Sam Hunt Releases "Hard To Forget" Acoustic
Sam Hunt has released a new acoustic version of his current country hit ‘Hard To Forget.’ The song originates from his chart-topping Southside album, and is co-produced by Kate Malone, Devin Malone and Zach Crowell.
On Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart for the week of 27 June, ‘Hard To Forget’ climbs 9-5. On Hot Country Songs, it’s performing even better, rising 5-3; on Country Streaming Songs, it’s up 5-4. It holds at No. 4 on Country Digital Song Sales.

MUSIC ROW MAGAZINE: Bker MGMT adds Kate Malone to Producer Roster
Recently launched bker MGMT has added songwriter and producer Kate Malone to its growing roster.
Malone has worked with artists Sam Hunt, Emma White, and Alana Springsteen, and is a 2020 graduate of the ASCAP GPS program. She is a member of Nashville’s small group of top female music producers, and works with both independent and major label artists in the US and the UK.
“Kate Malone is a ‘get-it-done’ creator that makes her own rules. She is a force and there is an energy when she walks in a room that I want to be around every single day. On Friday, the singer is releasing her track "Thirties," which PEOPLE can exclusively premiere, about finding yourself a tad later in life. Thirties was written by White, Kate Malone and Tori Tullier, and produced by Malone and White.

ASCAP Nashville Announces GPS Project Class of 2020
ASCAP's Nashville creative team has announced the songwriter participants in the 9th annual ASCAP GPS Project, which showcases writers who are ready or close to ready for a publishing deal. Over the course of the rest of the year, the eight writers will be paired with publishers who will critique their songs and host virtual follow-up meetings to help the writer develop. By the end of the program, each songwriter will have met with representatives from at least five different publishers. To date, numerous songwriters have earned publishing agreements as a result of their participation in this program.
The ASCAP GPS (Guidance from Publishers for Songwriters) Project class of 2020, curated by ASCAP Creative Director Evyn Mustoe Johnston, includes songwriters Ethan Baumgarner, Bailey Callahan, Stephen Carey, Morgan Johnston, Jordan Keim, Kate Malone, Nell Maynard, and Kaylee Rose.
